Do I Need Council Approval for Stump Removal?
In many cases, stump removal following a permitted tree removal does not require a separate application – but this depends on your council and the specifics of the original permit. Trees Down Under works with local councils across Sydney regularly and can advise you on what approvals, if any, apply to your property before any work begins.
We work with every local council in Sydney – permits don’t have to be a headache. We sort through the paperwork so you don’t have to.

What Happens to the Stump and Debris?
Once the stump is ground down, the resulting wood chips and green waste are removed from site as part of the job. Full site clean-up is included, so there is nothing left for you to manage. If you would prefer the mulch left on-site for use in your garden, that can be arranged.
Can You Access Tight or Difficult Spaces?
Tight rear yards, narrow side passages, and built-up urban blocks are routine for the Trees Down Under crew. For complex access situations, specialised equipment or crane-assisted methods may be used where appropriate. If you have an urgent situation, call 0475 463 597 any time – emergency service is available across all Sydney regions.
