What the report is
A tree protection zone report is an arborist report that maps the area around a tree that needs to stay undisturbed during building or site works. It records which trees are on or near the site and where digging, machinery and storage should stay clear.
The aim is to keep retained trees healthy and safe while the project goes ahead.
Who needs one in Rouse Hill
Rouse Hill sits in the leafy Hills District, with plenty of new estates and established streets. A report is commonly needed for:
- New builds and extensions close to existing trees
- Driveways, pools or retaining walls near a trunk or root zone
- Works near council-protected, significant or neighbouring trees
- A development application that includes tree retention or removal
How it shapes the work
The report sets where work can happen near trees and where it cannot, so builders and designers know the limits before they start. Any tree removal still depends on The Hills Shire Council’s rules.
We work with every local council in Sydney, so permits don’t have to be a headache. Knowing where a tree’s protection zone sits early saves a lot of rework.
