After the inspection, the arborist gives you a written report that sets out the tree’s condition, its risk level and the options open to you, from pruning through to removing the tree. Nothing is decided on the spot, so you can read it and choose in your own time.
Removal is only one of those options, and it is recommended only where the findings support it. Where council approval is needed, Trees Down Under provides council permit guidance and arborist report assistance. Our Level 5 arborists prepare the detailed reports councils ask for, covering tree condition, associated risks and recommended actions.
Before any tree is removed, check the rules for your property with Blue Mountains City Council or, if you are in the Penrith area, Penrith City Council, as permits are often required.
On Blaxland and Blue Mountains foothills properties, the assessment also looks at structural integrity, disease and distance to buildings to identify trees that add to fire risk.
If you approve the work, you receive a clear quote first. Green waste removal and full site clean-up are included. If a tree has already come down or is an immediate danger, 24/7 emergency tree service is available on 0475 463 597.
